Bishop-Brighton Bed and Breakfast Guest Policies


Check-in: Normal time is 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Let us know if you will be arriving outside of these hours. Check out: 11:00 a.m.

Payment: Personal check, Cash, MasterCard, Visa or American Express. Gratuity for the housekeeping staff is at your discretion, not expected, and always appreciated.

Reservations: To confirm your reservation a deposit of one night's lodging is required either on credit card, by personal check or by referencing your gift certificate. A two night minimum stay may be required for most weekends from June through October and for all holiday weekends.

Deposits: For normal reservations, a deposit of the 1st night's stay is required. Specials may require a 50% deposit of the package. All reservations for Street Fair week require 100% deposit.

Cancellation: A refund credit (less $20.00 processing fee) will be issued if cancellation is received at least 7 days in advance. For cancellations under 7 days, the deposit is forfeited, unless the room can be booked before the reservation date. If we are unable to re-sell the room, a gift certificate will be issued for your use (valid for 6 months). No shows are charged the full amount of the reservation.

Smoking: Fire regulations and insurance mandate that there is no smoking indoors. Porch area is provided outside the residence. NOTE: Candles in rooms are not allowed.

Pets: Due to health concerns and allergies, pets are not allowed at The Bishop Brighton B&B. Quality pet boarding is available nearby.

Common Areas: You are encouraged to use our common areas in the Living Room, Library and Dining Room. Please feel free to browse about and enjoy the antiques, books and collectibles. Lights will be left on in all of the common rooms, hallways, side porch and parking area.

Coffee, Tea & Breakfast: Coffee, Tea and newspapers will be available 7:30 a.m. A full plated gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room each morning at 9:00 a.m. All meals are made from fresh high quality ingredients. With prior notification, special serving times and meals can be accommodated. Some optional meals include Atkins low carb, low fat, and vegetarian.

Children: Because the Inn is outfitted with numerous period antique furnishings and artifacts, children are welcome only with previous arrangement with the management. Guests with children will be responsible and must provide adult supervision at all times while on the premises. .

Parking: Is provided at the rear of the house. Due to the area limitations we cannot accommodate vehicles with trailers. Regretfully the City of Wyandotte does not allow overnight parking on the street.

Phone: Guests may use the house phone for credit card / collect calls. Emergency numbers are posted by the phone in the kitchen pantry.
